The General Assembly Meeting of M B M E GROUP P.J.S.C. was held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the company headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Mr. Ali Mohamed Saeed Albadi Aldhaheri and attended by four board members. The total attendance was 88.86% of the capital. The meeting resulted in the approval of a 10% bonus shares dividends distribution and an amendment to the AOA to reflect the capital increase. The annual report on the company's activities and financial position for the financial year ended on 31 December 2023 was also approved. The external auditor's report and the financial statements and profit and loss account for the same financial year were discussed and approved.
The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) will be closed for Eid Al Fitr from April 8, 2024, until the 3rd of Shawwal 1445. Trading and normal working hours will resume on April 12, 2024, if Eid Al Fitr falls on April 9, 2024. If Eid Al Fitr falls on April 10, 2024, the market will resume operations on April 15, 2024. The text is a template for a Proxy or Power of Attorney form for shareholders of the Gulf Navigation Holding Company. After filling out the form, shareholders are to send it, along with any necessary supporting documents, to CapitalMarketsTeam@adcb.com. SALAMA has clarified its policy on proxy voting for shareholders. According to their Corporate Governance Manual, shareholders are allowed to delegate someone who is not a board member, company employee, or securities brokerage company or its employee, to attend the general assembly and vote on resolutions. The proxy cannot hold more than 5% of the company's issued capital. The shareholder's signature on the proxy must be approved by a Notary Public, a commercial chamber of economic department in the state, a bank or company licensed in the state, or any other licensed entity. The proxy form must include the shareholder's name and contact number, and the name and contact number of the brokerage firm who approved the proxy.
Resolution No. 360 of 2024 announces the temporary suspension of trading for The National Investor PRJSC shares on the ADX. The company has seen a rise in phishing messages offering fake investment opportunities in Salik stocks and providing false links for account recharges. To protect customers, Salik has advised them to use secure URLs, avoid suspicious links, and verify the legitimacy of messages claiming to be from Salik. CEO Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad has emphasized the importance of public awareness and advised customers not to disclose personal and financial information to these fraudulent accounts.
